El mundo de la canción pop femenina venía defendiéndose con alguna dificultad de la avalancha de sonido marketinero de adolescentes con pinta de tenistas eslavas, todas igualitas, caracterizado por los gorjeos, los jadeos orgásmicos y los rasguidos acústicos.
Sólo una valiente Christina Aguilera -si acaso secundada por una cada vez más brillante Giorgia Todrani- lideraba este movimiento de resistencia desde que los kilos empezaron a nublar la carrera de Mariah Carey, los desarreglos la vida de Whitney Houston y los escándalos, los kilos y los desarreglos, todos juntos, terminaron por desfigurar a Britney Spears.
